By road, Harwich International Port is around 43 miles from Bury St Edmunds. Driving takes roughly 1 hour 7 minutes via the A14, one of our shorter regular runs.

Your options for getting there

• Train — around 1 hour on the direct daily Greater Anglia service, though it only runs once a day, so timing has to line up with your ferry.
• Driving yourself — around 1 hour 7 minutes, plus long-stay port parking to arrange, which adds up over a longer cruise.
• Private hire transfer — around 1 hour 7 minutes, door to door, with no parking to book or car left waiting for a fortnight.

Why a transfer suits cruise and ferry departures
